The hollyhocks finally bloomed. They turned out to be a bit short on variety, but they were loaded with flowers. I'll need to start some other seeds this winter to hopefully get more colors going. Someday, we may have a crop of these things that cover the whole side of the house.

I love hollyhocks! I had some next to the garage but they quickly got crowded out by the lilacs. I gave them to the neighbor and they're doing just fine next to her garage. But I do miss them. I'm going to try to start some from seed this winter and plant them near the house next Spring.
